After 8 wonderful years, A Cause 4 Paws Rescue is in the process of  ending operations. It has been a beautiful and fulfilling ride.  So many memories made and lives saved. Who could forget all the Freedom Rides, they were truly priceless.

Since our creation in March 2013, AC4PR, along with our generous Community Partners and dedicated volunteers have saved thousands of dogs and helped find their furever homes.
We sincerely thank all those who fostered, transported, helped at events and supported us over the last 8 years. We could not have done it without you.

Warm Regards,
Donna Ticknor, Founder

Our Mission

We are a small group of caring animal rescuers that are very passionate about rescue and education. Our mission is to rescue unwanted dogs, rehabilitate and rehome.

Education is also an important part of A Cause 4 Paws mission, we feel we must educate the next generation to prepare them to be responsible pet owners as well as advocates for animals in need.  Many of our dogs come from kill-shelters throughout Florida and surrounding states.

We also accept owner surrenders whose owners have fallen on unforeseen difficulties and can no longer care for their pet. We are funded 100% by donations/adoptions, and we are all volunteers. AC4PR is a foster-home based program, therefore, all pets taken in are fully-vetted, evaluated and placed in a foster home until adoption.A Cause 4 Paws Rescue is a registered 501c3 non-profit located in Orlando, FL. Donate and save a life!  (All donations are tax deductible)

Happily ever afters . . .

Spaying and Neutering

Spaying and neutering is the start of responsible rescue. Spaying or neutering pets prevents animals from being born accidentally, and is the most effective and humane way to save animals lives. A Cause 4 Paws spays and neuters all dogs that are rescued. Over population of stray and abandoned animals is due to reproduction without any responsibility. Educating the community about spaying and neutering is just the beginning of responsible animal ownership.

It’s a lifesaver

The sad reality is that there is an overpopulation of unwanted pets nationwide and in our state. Over 10,000 dogs and cats were euthanized  in Central Florida 2010-11. There is no quick cure to this problem, however, with your help it is our goal to do our part and reduce this number every year through responsible education and rescue.
