Bob and Faith Charles, Vice-President of A Cause 4 Paws are such amazing supporters of the rescue! Come out and visit us at Bayhill and let our volunteers serve you a ice-cold beverage!

A Cause 4 Paws Rescue, Inc is a registered 501c3 non-profit group of volunteer dog lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. Whenever possible we also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their owners. We are located in the Central Florida.

All our rescues are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes. When time permits, our dogs are also housetrained and taught basic obedience.

All rescues are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners. If you are looking for a specific type of dog and do not see it on our website, please email us. We work closely with other rescue groups and animal shelters and may be able to assist you in finding your next furry friend.

Who has the biggest smiles, our adopted rescues or their new family members?

Spaying and Neutering

Spaying and neutering is the start of responsible rescue. Spaying or neutering pets prevents animals from being born accidentally, and is the most effective and humane way to save animals lives. A Cause 4 Paws spays and neuters all dogs that are rescued. Over population of stray and abandoned animals is due to reproduction without any responsibility. Educating the community about spaying and neutering is just the beginning of responsible animal ownership.

It's a lifesaver

The sad reality is that there is an overpopulation of unwanted pets nationwide and in our state. Over 10,000 dogs and cats were euthanized  in Central Florida 2010-11. There is no quick cure to this problem, however, with your help it is our goal to do our part and reduce this number every year through responsible education and rescue.
